Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique based on the idea that our minds work on both conscious and subconscious levels. While we are usually aware of our conscious thoughts, our subconscious mind controls much of our habits, emotions, and behaviours, many of which we aren't fully aware of.Hypnotherapy taps into the subconscious mind by guiding someone into a deep state of relaxation (called trance).     No, you remain fully in control at all times and you cannot be made to do anything that you don’t want to do. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process.

    Most people can experience hypnosis if they are willing, open, and able to follow simple instructions. It may be less effective for those who are highly resistant or unwilling.

  6. Will I remember what happens during the session?
    Most people remember everything that is said and done during hypnosis.

  7. Is hypnotherapy like stage hypnosis?
    No, stage hypnosis is for entertainment. Therapeutic hypnotherapy is professional and focused on helping you achieve positive, meaningful change.

  8. What should I expect at my first session?
    We’ll start by discussing your goals and concerns, explaining how hypnotherapy works, and answering any questions. Then, if you’re comfortable, we’ll begin a gentle hypnotherapy session.

  9. Are there any reasons why I wouldn’t be suitable for hypnotherapy?
    Yes, hypnotherapy is not advised for people with epilepsy and for individuals with severe mental health conditions like psychosis, personality disorders, or those experiencing hallucinations or delusions.

  10. Is hypnotherapy suitable for children?
    Yes, hypnotherapy can be very effective for children. For children under age 16, a parent or guardian will need to be present in all sessions.
